Boy Scout Troop 148 is located in beautiful Temecula, California, in the Tahquitz District of the California Inland Empire Council. We are chartered by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4089, in Temecula, California.

We target at least one overnight event each month. Traditional backpacking and regular horizon-expanding events such as aviation, canoeing, cycling, local and wilderness camping are highlighted, promoting teamwork and leadership, as well as individual skills.

NYLT Course: Dec 28-Jan 2

For the first time in our Council a third NYLT course - a winter course - is being held. National Youth Leadership Training is an exciting, action packed program designed to teach lifelong leadership skills, which can be applied to the troop. NYLT centers around the concepts of what a leader must BE, what a leader must KNOW and what a leader must DO. Youth Protection Training

In order to prepare for our upcoming charter all leaders need to take the Youth Protection Training (YPT) at www.my.scouting.org.  All adults are asked to take the training as well.  If you attend any event it will be mandatory that you take YPT.  Once you have completed the training please email the pdf file to Crystal Pastorian and Chris Sizemore.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Scouting for Food

The Star Patrol has starting collecting non-perishable food items. Please bring non-perishable food to each troop Meeting and Help your patrol collect the most weight/Scout.

The Troop has many upcoming events such as Sitton Peak Campout, Flag Retirement Ceremony, Veterans Day Parade, Anna-Borrego Campout (near MUD CAVES), Honor Guard Academy, Chess Merit Badge and the Oceanography Merit Badge.  Please sign up early to help with the planning process.

STEM/NOVA "Start Your Engines"

STEM/NOVA "Start Your Engines" will take place this Tuesday at St. Thomas from 6:15-6:55pm prior to the Troop Meeting.  All scouts are invited to come have some fun and learn in the process.  Mr. Bowden will be presenting the program to all scouts wanting to earn the awards.

Veteran's Day Parade - Nov 11 10AM

Join us and march in the annual Murrieta Veteran's Day Parade on November 11th at 10AM. Bring your friendly and cheerful spirit to show support for our service members and their families. We'll meet at 9:30 a.m. to stage in the parking lot behind the Murrieta Parks & Recreation building near Juniper Street and Adams Avenue in Old Town Murrieta. Flyer and map attached. Waiver to come.
