Boy Scout Troop 148 is located in beautiful Temecula, California, in the Tahquitz District of the California Inland Empire Council. We are chartered by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4089, in Temecula, California.

We target at least one overnight event each month. Traditional backpacking and regular horizon-expanding events such as aviation, canoeing, cycling, local and wilderness camping are highlighted, promoting teamwork and leadership, as well as individual skills.

February Campout in Joshua Tree

We will be hiking and camping in Joshua Tree soon. There is an opportunity for our most advanced and our beginning hikers. This is a great opportunity to get into the backcountry and enjoy this beautiful National Park. 

Shotgun Merit Badge

If you wish to earn the Shotgun Merit Badge get signed up soon. We only have a few slots remaining. The Patrol Leaders Council have asked for day activities so here is your chance to have a great day and not have a lot of planning to take care of.

Camping and Astronomy Merit Badge

Come out and camp at Anza Borrego with your buddies and enjoy an evening of stargazing, hot chocolate, and dutch oven desserts!

We will also be hiking to see petroglyphs and as part of stargazing working on earning the Astronomy Merit Badge.

Polar Camp Staffing

Troop 148 will be staffing Polar Camp from January 10-12, 2019. we can use some more assistance for Polar Camp Staff. If you are interested please add your name online. We can also use about 4-5 more adults as well. 

Christmas Party

Our Christmas Party is on December 17th which is a regular troop meeting night. All families are welcome to join the fun. We would like to see 100% of the troop at this party. The attire is "Elf" attire or you can wear Class A. If you do not have Elf attire just wear some Christmas Cheer. 

Last call for 2020 re-charter

If you have not done so please pay your scout's or scout leader re-charter fee for the 2020 program year ($ 150.00 for Scout or $ 45.00 for Adult Leader).
Payments can be made on-line or via a check at Tuesday's Court of Honor (12/10/19).  If future payment arragements are need, please contact Mr. Vela or Mr. Sizemore via email or text to make the arragements (it is easy and not a big deal).
NOTE:  After this Tuesday, scouts and adult leaders whom have not paid or made arragements for future payments will not be renewed for the 2020 re-charter.
