Boy Scout Troop 148 is located in beautiful Temecula, California, in the Tahquitz District of the California Inland Empire Council. We are chartered by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4089, in Temecula, California.

We target at least one overnight event each month. Traditional backpacking and regular horizon-expanding events such as aviation, canoeing, cycling, local and wilderness camping are highlighted, promoting teamwork and leadership, as well as individual skills.

Thank you to the PLC for brainstorming an awesome Scouting year. Thank you to the adults who assisted at the planning meeting to support our scouts. It looks like we will have a great year of events.

Our annual planning meeting for adults will be on July 16th.  The Youth Patrol Leaders Council will be meeting and will bring forward their ideas.  Lets put the plan into action and support what our scouts want to do for the 2022-2023 Scouting year.  We look forward to having all of our adults participate and take on a little of the work in order to support our scouts adventures.

VFW/Troop 148 Blood Drive

Posted by jhays on May 15 2022 - 8:08pm

We have partnered again with the VFW and San Diego Blood Bank to raise awareness for blood donations. We would like any eligible Troop 148 scout and family members to donate blood on June 5th. Many current donors are older in age and we would like to encourage others to donate blood in order to help save lives. Please forward this link to your family and friends who live in the local area.

First Class Campout

Posted by jhays on May 6 2022 - 6:48pm

Our annual First Class Camp will take place on May 20-22. This is a great opportunity to learn and practice scout skills. It is also a great opportunity for our older scouts to teach and pass on their scouting knowledge.  Your PLC is planning a great Campout which may include a cooking competition.  It looks like we will be headed out to the Oak Grove Campground which makes it a short drive

Happy Birthday

Posted by jhays on May 1 2022 - 4:03pm

Happy Birthday Troop 148.

On May 1, 1994 our troop was created and has prospered ever since. Our troop has been extremely active over the years giving countless hours of community service, sending young men on weekend camping experience, Summer Camps, Jamborees, High Adventure Bases and much more. As of today we have 105 Eagle Scouts which is unheard of from a troop that has been around for 28 short years.
