Boy Scout Troop 148 is located in beautiful Temecula, California, in the Tahquitz District of the California Inland Empire Council. We are chartered by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4089, in Temecula, California.

We target at least one overnight event each month. Traditional backpacking and regular horizon-expanding events such as aviation, canoeing, cycling, local and wilderness camping are highlighted, promoting teamwork and leadership, as well as individual skills.

Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol Leader Elections

We will be having Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol Leader Elections In May 7th.  If you wish to run for SPL please notify Mr. Hays. We need all scouts to come out and vote for your Troops Leadership.

First Class Campout

Our annual First Class Camp will take place on May 9-12. This is a great opportunity to learn and practice scout skills. It is also a great opportunity for our older scouts to teach and pass on their scouting knowledge.  Your PLC is planning a great Campout which may include ”May Madness” Cooking.  We plan on getting back early Sunday in order for scouts to spend time with their mom.

First Aid Merit Badge

Each Tuesday until the May Court of Honor Mr. Huhn will arrive at 6pm and work with scouts attempting to complete the First Aid Merit Badge. This is reserved for scouts that have taken part in the instruction, however, have not yet completed all of the requirements. Please take advantage of this opportunity and complete the Merit badge. It is important for parents to be involved and work with scouts at home if necessary. 

Leader Meeting

Patrol Leaders' Council (PLC)

All Patrol Leaders and scouts in Troop leadership positions must be present.  A representative from each troop position needs to be in attendance.  It is the responsibility of the Chief position holder to be at the PLC unless he is unable to make it and deligates his assistant to attend.

No Troop Meeting

No troop meeting until April 9th. Enjoy your Spring Break and we will see you all at Camporee. SPL Kevin has recommended to have a Patrol Meeting over the break when your patrol is able to meet.
