Boy Scout Troop 148 is located in beautiful Temecula, California, in the Tahquitz District of the California Inland Empire Council. We are chartered by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4089, in Temecula, California.

We target at least one overnight event each month. Traditional backpacking and regular horizon-expanding events such as aviation, canoeing, cycling, local and wilderness camping are highlighted, promoting teamwork and leadership, as well as individual skills.

Posted by jhays on Oct 10 2018 - 3:39pm
We know people are busy and hardly have time to read email! Troop 148 is using Remind for the troop and all patrols. Many schools use it, so it should be familiar. It's great for short messages and reminders.

Backpacking Training Trek

Posted by jhays on Oct 7 2018 - 7:14pm
Prerequisite hike for November’s Joshua Tree Trek
The Dripping Springs Campout is going to be a perfect training campout for all going on the Joshua Tree campout.  We will not be doing the entire 20 mile loop with 3000 feet of elevation gain, but we will get some great hiking practice accomplished.  The boys will hike with backpacks in order to get accustomed to hiking with some weight.  If you have trekking poles these are also good tools to train with.
